Milk Chocolate Around My Neck

This is some silky and soft lace weight cashmere wound worsted weight. It is recycled from a sweater. The color looks just like milk chocolate. I bought this yarn from a very nice lady on ebay last year. I kind of wasn't sure what I would do with it. After finishing my little cotton kerchief I thought this yarn would make a nice neck-warmer too. Since I'm still doing no sugar or flour it's nice to have some milk chocolate to work with! LOL!

When I got home yesterday I was greeted by this lovely sunset. I ran into the house to grab my camera. I was hoping the pictures would capture the beauty of the outdoors. This is my perennial flower bed.

Right now the snow drifts are about 3 feet deep.

The sun dial is handmade by my husbands Uncle many years ago. It is make up of old broken china and colorful bottles. It needs a little restoration. I just adore it! Some day I will make one of my own.

This is the view from my front door. I just couldn't resist sharing some of my outdoors with you today.

Your place looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I miss living in the country. I'm currently a city dweller, but the inlaws are not to far away on the farm. Love the sundial too! I've always wanted to do that mosaic sort of work, it looks so interesting and fun and relaxed depending on the pieces that go into it. Thanks for the hat and spinning comments...I am having a great time with the spinning.
Hope the no flour/sugar thing is going well. I'm trying the "2008 Self Challenge" from Self magazine (and online) Wish me luck...You've given me the inspiration to actually start!

Totally gorgeous pix. It'll be really interesting to see what your little corner of the world looks like in the Spring, Summer and Fall, too. I hope you continue to bless us with your beautiful photography and countryside.

And I could do without the chocolate references, thank you very much. You wore white flour the other day...now you're going to wear chocolate around your neck. What's next, are you going to wear jelly donut earrings? A layer cake hat? You're making me hungry!

I enjoy seeing pictures of where you live. It's almost like going on a mini-vacation. Lucky you to have such a picturesque view from your front door!
