Enjoying the Day

Spring is showing her colors this week. Come on, lets get out and enjoy the day! I'll grab a quilt and our knitting and we can picnic knit. Wow, these tulips are the perfect lipstick pink color.

Lets lay our our quilt and take a look around to see what's blooming.

The flowering crab tree is covered in blooms. Can you smell the sweet perfume? This is the most blooms I've seen on this tree.

The flowering almond is looking so adorable and embraced in tiny flowers. This bush is on the brink of exploding in blooms.

The viburnum has got to smell the absolute best. If I could only offer you smell-o-computer! I imagine that heaven must smell like this!

Let's kick off our shoes and enjoy the warm sunshine and the heavenly scents.

I'm working on my sweater little by little. I have to say that it is more fun knitting out here on the grass. Are you having a nice time? What project did you bring along?

Just in this short mini picnic time we've gotten a lot of knitting done. My sweater is looking good. I just love the stitch on the neckline.

I hope you are enjoying your day where ever you may be. Also, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day. Take time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life! I pray blessings on you and your entire family. May goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life.

I like these little outings. The flowers were beautiful and I loved the quilt too. I brought along a sock to knit.

Oh how beautiful! The weather is absolutely dreadful here today and your pictures just brightened my day. Wicked is coming along nicely.

Yes, get out and enjoy the world around you/us! We have eaten on the picnic blanket twice this week. The other nights have been rained out. I hope to have a nice mother's day meal outdoors enjoying my yard. Thanks for inviting me along! I brought a wool soaker to work on. :)

What a lovely spot for a picnic knit! The quilt is gorgeous, did you make it yourself? I love the color of the sweater you're knitting.

I'm knitting another of Wool Winder's Spiral Preemie hats, as I find it too difficult to concentrate on much else, what with the birds all singing and chirping and the lovely perfumed scent of flowers all around. Could you pass me a glass of that sweet tea, please? ;-)

Thanks for the lovely spring outing. As I get migraines in the sunshine, this is the only time I get to spend any quality time outside. Thank goodness I don't have a passion for gardening! Love the sweater...must try to find the pattern...that's Wicked, right?

I have that same Viburnum in bloom right now next to the deck. It is intoxicating! Wish I had more of them. I have a tree Viburnum (more of a bush on a stick)that just finished blooming but it does not have the same heavenly sent. Love all the flowers, this is a great time of year. :-) Nice quilt, very picnicie.

I look forward to reading your blog whenever Bloglines shows me that you've written a post. The "outing" posts are my favorites. I truly feel myself relaxing as i read it just taking in the pics and letting you set the scene with your words. Thank you for that!

Happy Mother's Day to you, too, my friend!
