Buzzing Around

Last week as I was knitting along on my Wicked sweater I was surprised by a hummingbird. I looked up from my project and he looked at me and darted away. Immediately I ran to the basement to find my mother in laws feeder. I mixed up for sugar water and hung the feeder. Since last week I have seen the little hummer one other time. He buzzed past me when I was carrying groceries into the house. This morning when I let the dogs out I saw him again. I grabbed my camera and ran outside with me red robe on. I was able to get pretty close. I hope you can see the sweet little hummer. I think he may like me. He was buzzing in and out of the trees. He would circle semi close to me and then go to the feeder. How thrilling for me!

Wicked is coming along. The body is finished. I knit 2 sets of increases for the hip section. Now I think it's a touch too long. That's o.k. I am leaving it. I am almost finished with one of the 3/4 sleeves. I have to knit the twisted rib to the edge. Then on to the next sleeve. I really wanted to have it done by now. On a personal note I am getting ready for a job interview. It's for a part time position. My full time job has cut our hours due to the economy. Please wish me luck and if you want say a prayer. This job sounds like a nice place to work. I would like to get hired! I'll share more about it later. Got to go! Have a great day!

I've always thought our section of the country did not have a lot of hummingbirds, but I, too, had one buzzing around me last week. Next spring, I'm setting out a feeder for sure!!

The hummingbirds are migrating now, so we have lots of them at our house. I'm enjoying them.

Good luck with the interview!

Nice progress on the sweater.

Said a prayer! Love the picture of the humming bird and the progress of the sweater. BTW longer sweaters are making a comeback. They hit a bit past the hips rather than at it or higher. Your wicked will be high fashion.

Maybe he was first drawn to your sweater! ;-) I clicked the pic to enlarge it, and he's adorable. You really got a great picture!

My hubby was once visiting a couple in the country and they were all sitting around outside. The woman was wearing a bright, floral print, and the hummingbird flew up to her and tried to feed at her blouse!

I'll say a prayer for you. :-)

Good luck on the job interview!!!

I betcha the sweater won't be too long. I always think it's just right and then mine end up too short because they pull around when I wear them.... :-) except the last one...which I made extra extra long...and so it is approximately one extra too long :P ha! did that make any sense :-)

Hello!
Sure wish we could get those jackets for 10 bucks now! Sweaters were pretty cheap then too-but none of them were as nice as yours! Your knitting is so EVEN looking! I am just itching to get back to my projects. I will be posting a recipe from Weekend Knitting I liked for cookies. The projects are nice too, because they are quick and fun. I am in the dark too about why your sweater is called "wicked." Sure looks nice to me! Your hummer is adorable too. So glad we're friends!
Love, Debra

Oh, I am so happy for you. I saw one not too long ago and was just thrilled. I don't see many of them.

I will definitely keep you in my prayers for the job. Life is so better when we have a job we enjoy doing.

That is a fantastic color. The older I get the longer my tops get. I think I am down to tunic level by now. LOL
