Hmm, can you tell I'm in fall mode? I adore all of the warm, rich colors of this season. I'm working on a few fun knits. I'm just giving you a peek at this project. Some of you may already know what I'm making. As soon as I'm finished I promise to show you the end result. As you can see from my sidebar there is a really cool quilt giveaway going on. Pigtails and Snails is having a contest. Go check it out!

I'm also working on some sewing projects. This is some of the fabric that I picked out. I can't wait to get back into my sewing room. I'll show you more later.

We had our second frost last night. As the sun started to rise and burn off the fog I couldn't resist taking a picture. I covered the basil and peppers. The lettuce and beets didn't mind the frost.

On a personal note I have given notice at my current job. It was a very tough decision to make. I'm not a person that likes change. I have been with my current employer for almost 4 years. I will miss them and all the people I have met through the years. I believe God has another plan for me. That plan included a choice of 2 jobs. The one I chose is in my same field. The position will be more challenging. That's just what I need. My family and friends are rejoicing with me. Only the Lord could deliver two opportunities for me in this tough job market. Praise be to God! I give Him all the Glory!

That's great to hear! I know you'll excell at the new challenge. I also know what your knitting...felted pumpkins.
Glad to hear the great news about your new job! Congrats!
Congrats on the new job! That's fantastic!
I was guessing felted pumpkins too...but I wasn't positive about it :-)
First off, congratulations on the new job! I'm someone who doesn't like change, either, so I can imagine how tough the decision must have been.
The knits are looking very pretty. I can't wait to see the finished products.
Your foliage is gorgeous. We don't always get it here where I live. Most years, the trees are green until a cold front blows in and the next day they are bare. ;-Þ Every few years we get a pretty fall, though, and I've a suspicion this may be one of those years. It's a few weeks off yet, though.
Beautiful fall pictures!
Can't wait to see the little projects finished. I've been in a sewing mood lately, too. I love those fabrics! Oh, the possibilities are endless. ;_
The pictures were just beautiful, as I miss fall here in Florida! No colors to speak of! And I hope I didn't get any drool on that fabric!!!!!!! JUST wonderful!!!!!!!
Congratulations on the new job! Good for you!
Cora
Oh, My goodness! Lovely yummy colors! Congrats on the new job...what a blessing that it worked out for you. Knitting....hmmmm...maybe little felted pumpkins? Or squash? I love batiks...perhaps that's going to be a table runner for the felted pumpkins?
I recognize what you're working on in that first picture. :)
Lovely pictures of the sunrise and fall leaves!
Congratulations on your new job!
I really enjoy seeing pictures of where people live. It seems to make them more real, if you know what I mean. You can put images to words.
Hey Sis..
Come over I have 2 awards for *U*.

I am so envious of the beautiful foliage. Like Cora, I am in Florida and get a real homesick feeling for the beauty of the fall colors back home. I could not guess what you are knitting, so I will look forward to seeing the end result! Wishing you all the best with your new job, too!

Good luck in the new position! I love those fabrics and I can't wait to see what you do with them!
I love those fall color yarns. I can't wait to see what you're making!
The fall pictures at your place are wonderful too.
I'm excited for you about the new job. I remember when you wrote you went to an interview. That was a while ago. I thought that you changed jobs back then.
Hope you are staying warm with the frosts!
Love, Debra
Love the pictures! Beautiful colors, fabric, trees, yarn. Wow
Congrats on the new job! I know that was a tough decision for you to make. More money is great and all, but sometimes it's the new challenges that make a job exciting. I know it sounds cheesy but its true.
I love those fall colors! And the tree is pretty too.
Congrats again
